The SWMO PLC team welcomes you!

Jana Loge, Jay Roth, and Sandy Hines are the PLC Resource Specialists housed in the Southwest Regional Professional Development Center

Jana has experience as an Elementary teacher, an alternative-school teacher, MAP facilitator, Missouri Reading Initiative trainer, and adjunct teacher for both Missouri State University and Drury University. In professional development for over 15 years, Jana's strength lies in her passion for assessment and curriculum design for authentic experiences for both teachers and students.

Jay's experiences lie in the secondary classroom as a high school mathematics teacher, department head, teacher leader at a Professional Learning Community high school in southwest Missouri, and now as a Cognitive Coaching Agency Trainer for the SW-RPDC. After completing a Master's thesis on the impact that learning communities has on mathematics MAP test, Jay was recruited to train staff in creating a culture of learning in their school.

Sandy can best be described as a lifelong learner having entered the field of education 39  years ago after earning her Bachelor of Arts degree from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri with a focus on secondary education.  Since then, Sandy received her Masters in Education degree from Drury University and Specialist in Educational Administration degree from Missouri State University in Springfield.  Sandy has taught speech, drama, music and worked with special education students at all levels.  The majority of her teaching career was spent at Partridge Elementary in the Waynesville School District working with military dependent children.  Sandy served as principal of Partridge Elementary for ten years.
